To Blog Or Not To Blog.............

For a long time now, I have contemplated this ...to blog or not to blog....and like everything else not-so-difficult (if it is difficult you are not doing it anyway, right), I put it in the "To Be Decided Later" folder(This is the most convenient decision folder, isn't it ;) and tell you what ...that folder is so full and still has space for more....how I wish the thought-to-action process is as easy as publishing a blog on blogger!)

The initial Why and Why not arguments were like....

.............You can share what you think/opine/feel about with like minded folks and it will be good fun writing (it has been ages since I really wrote a letter or even a long enough email for that matter) and this will be a good way to train myself to be an author and write a book of my own and all those grand funda....

vs.

Do you really have the time? what's going to be so interesting to write about on a regular basis? the less cyber trash the better and a host of other arguments.

This argument was unresolved for a couple of years ...and in the meanwhile, whenever I came across a well written blog(or is it published?..how does it matter as long as it is a good one), I used to think aloud to myself..."Hey, you gotta start one too!"...and as the days passed by and the probable titles started becoming unavailable, I thought it is time. Just do it! The mantra that makes everything look so simple!

...and once I decided to have my space in the blogosphere...there was work cut out...You see, I had to name my blog...and it was not all that easy, phew! I really had to overwork my grey matter to become creative so as to come up with a catchy enough name that is close to reality. And that is why this blog is not titled "The Arm Chair Expert" or "Useless Knowledge" or "IMHO" or "My Two Pence"...these were all taken already, as were blogs named after my first name or nick name....and IMHO I thought my full name was too formal...this is not meant to be a professional blog (but still, I need to create one after my full name too....lest someone else cybersquats on that!...see, I have one more item on my 'to be done later' folder already, eh!)......

Now you know that this blog is not only what I named it but also what others have not named theirs and what some others are yet to name theirs....well, I have cut a short story long....hope this achieves its twin objective of being reasonably easy to remember, if not catchy and relates to me or what people associate with me....

.....a good friend of mine did once tell me that the question mark is what she came close to associating me (and not the beer mug!) ;-)...nah, nah...I am not all that engmatic....the reference (I hope so...or was there some pun intended???) was to my obsession for quizzing ....

And now, the dreaded question of how often will there be a post on this....well, I only know as much as you do...or probably less...guess my English teacher in school..... got to know me really well...when she affectionately twirled my ears once and said..."You are regularly irregular!"...if you have come this far, there is an outward chance that you might come back again and it is only fair that I would want to keep you posted, while I answer that question to myself....well, it sure will be less cyclical than sighting of the Halley's comet ...that much I can assure you...so, till we meet again...have a rollicking time...and if you don't already blog...why not start thinking of starting one...and do let me know!...it is actually fun blogging!!!
